Special Services at Artemis

  • Andrology Service: In most cases it’s been noticed that male infertility to a great extent is also a major cause of infertility. The Department of Reproductive Medicine (IVF) in Artemis is fully equipped with latest equipments that make computer based analysis of sperm motility and morphology treatments easy and convenient for the patients. This highly sophisticated method help in ensuring a high level of fertilization, implantation and lowers down the risk of pregnancy loss.
  • Assisted Hatching: For a fruitful implantation, it is very important for embryos to hatch from its shell to attach to the womb. Complicacies often encountered in such cases with woman over an age of 35 years or woman with polycystic ovaries. In such cases the outer shell of the egg known as zona pellucida often become hard which may hinder embryo hatching. With the help of enzymes, chemicals or laser, this zona pellucida is thinned or opened to facilitate hatching of the early embryo. At Artemis, all the three above mentioned techniques are available which are applied under the expert supervision of specialists.
  • Blastocyst Transfers: In this system, the embryo is cultured for 5 days in in-vitro till it grows to form a blastocyst. In a natural conception process, the embryo enters the uterine at this stage of development. This kind of transfer helps to improve pregnancy rate and reduces the chances of multiple pregnancy.
  • Gamete (Egg & Sperm) Donation & Embryo Donation: In Artemis Health Institute, the facility of Gamete and embryo donation is available. Prior to the donor’s acceptance to attend the program a detailed screening is done so that safe and healthy pregnancy can be ensured. In such a case, a complete anonymity of the donor and the recipient is maintained by the hospital.
  • Surrogacy: The Artemis Health Institute also runs an efficient and ethical surrogacy program where the couple’s embryo is implanted into the uterus of another woman, who agrees to give birth to the child so conceived.
  • Cryopreservation (Freezing and Storage): With the help of high-tech medical equipments, the embryos are frozen in Artemis Health Institute so that in a later period these can be used. In this procedure, only good quality embryos are frozen because of their better survival rate on thawing. This facility also allows women to continue with their treatment cycles when the partner is not available. For fertility preservation in cancer patients, the oocyte and ovarian tissue freezing has been stated in Artemis.
