Success Rate of IVF is 17% High with Embryoscope’ says Study

A recent study shows that Embryoscope can improve the success rate of IVF treatment by 17%. Embryoscope is an advanced incubator that allows minute by minute observation of the embryo growth and helps doctors to choose best embryo that should be embedded into uterus.

Commenting on the relevance of Embryoscope in context of IVF treatments, Dr. Nandita Palshetkar, IVF consultant, Lilavati Hospital said “We normally use it for couples who have failed to conceive with IVF earlier. We can plot out which embryo is growing the fastest and is the best and then implant it. Normally, we would miss the signs of bad embryo growth.” So far this technology has been used for 15 couples. The Instituto Valenciano de Infertilidad in Spain has garnered 60% successful results with the use of Embryoscope. “Since the embryo is observed so closely, it reduces chances of manipulation,” said Dr Marcos Meseguer, owner of The Instituto Valenciano de Infertilidad, Spain.
