Managing the ideal weight is extremely important as if a woman is overweight or underweight, she can face problems in conception of a baby. It is extremely important that one should try and have a healthy weight when planning a baby. As per the experts, the issue of weight is often sidelined in the case of fertility while a healthy weight is one of the most important factors as far as conceiving is concerned.

2. Watch the Beverages

Excessive consumption of caffeine or alcohol can damage the fertility of a woman. According to experts, for instance, if you drink over 5 cups of coffee in one day, it means you are consuming about 500 milligrams of caffeine. It is directly linked to lower fertility. However, it does not really mean that you shun your coffee altogether. Drinking caffeine in moderation such as 1 or 2 cups of coffee in a day is adequate. To be more precise, set your limits to 200-250 milligrams coffee per day.

Studies done in the past have come up with varied results as far as alcohol consumption and fertility of women is concerned. However, as per a Swedish research, females who consumed 2 alcoholic drinks on a daily basis, their fertility lowered by around 60 percent. Again, moderate consumption is important.  Though it is advisable that 2 or more drinks in a day must be avoided if you are trying to conceive. There is no proof that if alcohol is consumed in moderation has any adverse effect on one’s fertility. Nevertheless, you might thinking of completing shunning alcohol if you are trying to get pregnant as there is a risk of birth defects due to drinking.

His Fertility Booster:

3.  Protect The Sperms

Experts believe that men should avoid wearing boxers and try wearing briefs instead. This would keep the temperatures of their genital down and help in boosting their fertility. Though the previous studies showed that boxers were better but the recent studies show something else. While some doctors say that controlling temperature is not of much help in improving fertility but the others feel that certain sources must be avoided completely. For instance, even if there is no evidence of fertility issues, a male should avoid sitting in a hot tub on a regular basis. As per some studies, a hot bath had an effect on a male’s fertility.

Such studies showing the link between the fertility of a man and exposure to other heat sources are not many. As per one study, if one keeps his laptop on his lap, the scrotal temperature go high. There is a warning that, if this exposure to heat is for long-term, it can be harmful for his sperms. Another research shows that if one is exposed to cell phone radiation, it has been proved that there is an adverse effect on sperms. It is advisable that you should avoid keeping your cell phone in the pocket of your pants.
